During my time at Shell I was part of the Retail team (anything to do with Shell’s bricks and mortar service stations) in MarketHub, which is Shell’s B2B e-commerce site. My role was to work closely with the UX researcher, unpicking the nine or so months of field research in a series of workshops, rethinking journeys known to cause friction with the end users. I created rapid prototypes of new journeys which were tested in the field by the researchers and myself remotely using Figma and Skype. Feedback was itertated on and then the new prototypes were then retested quickly. Once we had arrived at an MVP, I was working closely with the team’s React developer to bring the designs up to production ready code. This role was the closest I’ve ever been to true agile, user-centered software development.
